Step-by-step guide

How to Auto Forward Telegram Messages

Learn how to set up a Telegram message forwarder, choose source and destination chats, apply filters, and troubleshoot common forwarding issues.

This guide describes the general workflow. Exact settings and limits can vary by plan and the current interface. Review live plan details before configuring a larger workflow.

What does it mean to auto-forward Telegram messages?

Auto-forwarding is a way to route eligible messages from selected Telegram chats to other destinations without manually copying every post. A forwarding workflow usually has three parts: the source chats to watch, the destination chats that should receive messages, and the conditions that decide which messages are eligible.

Telegram permissions, your connected account access, the forwarding service configuration and your subscription limits all affect which routes can run. Only set up routes for chats and content you are authorised to access and share.

Step 1: Open Telegram Auto Forwarder

Start from the registration page or open the Telegram bot. The product also provides a Telegram Mini App and an Android application. Use the entry point that best fits how you want to configure and manage forwarding.

Follow the prompts presented by the app to connect your Telegram account. Complete any verification requested through Telegram. Never provide your login code or two-step verification password to another person or to an unofficial support contact.

Step 2: Select source chats and destinations

A source is the channel, group or supported chat where the service checks for messages. A destination is the chat where a matching message should be delivered. Choose source and destination chats that your connected account can access, then save the route as a forwarding job.

  • Give each job a clear label so you can identify its purpose later.
  • Keep separate routes when they need different destinations or different filtering rules.
  • Review access and chat selection if an expected source or destination is missing.

Step 3: Add filters and message rules

Filters are useful when a destination should receive only a subset of messages. Depending on the options enabled for your account and plan, the platform may offer keyword conditions, regular-expression matching, text replacement, link handling and other message actions.

Start with the simplest rule that matches your use case. A strict whitelist, blacklist or regular expression can intentionally exclude messages, and rules combined together can be harder to debug. After saving a rule, review the result with a small, authorised workflow before relying on it for a larger set of routes.

Step 4: Configure scheduling and delivery behaviour

If your workflow should operate only during particular hours or should use pacing controls, check the schedule, delay, random-delay or batching options available in the current interface. These controls are plan-dependent and may affect when eligible messages are delivered. Do not use scheduling or pacing to evade Telegram limits or anti-abuse protections.

Step 5: Start the job and check its status

Save the configuration and start the job from the interface. Use the status information and logs available in your account to confirm that the job is enabled and to investigate issues. A successful configuration still depends on source availability, account access, message type support, plan limits and external service availability.

Troubleshooting: why are Telegram messages not forwarding?

The source chat is not listed

Confirm that the connected Telegram account can access the chat. If you recently joined a channel or group, refresh or sync chat information using the controls available in the app.

Some messages are skipped

Review the job's keyword conditions, whitelist and blacklist rules, regex patterns and other message actions. Temporarily simplifying a rule can help identify whether that condition is excluding the message.

The job stopped or destination delivery failed

Check the job status, connected account state, destination access and any plan or usage limits. Review available logs and alerts. If the issue persists, contact the dedicated support team through the Support section of the web app and include the job details and approximate time of the issue.

Forwarding is slower than expected

Large workloads, many routes, complex rule combinations, network conditions, Telegram restrictions or service issues can affect delivery timing. Remove unused routes, simplify rules when possible, and check current service status and account limits rather than assuming every message will be delivered instantly.

Which plan should you choose?

Compare plans based on how many Telegram accounts and forwarding jobs you need, how many source and destination chats your workflows involve, and whether you use advanced rules, schedules or message actions. Plan limits and available billing durations can change; check the live Telegram Auto Forwarder pricing page and confirm the final details in the app before purchasing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I automate forwarding between channels and groups?

You can configure supported source and destination chats that your connected account is authorised to access. Which combinations and message types are available depends on the service configuration and Telegram permissions.

Can I forward only messages that contain certain words?

Where enabled, keyword filters or regular-expression rules can help decide which messages are eligible. Check the current interface and plan details for supported rule types.

Where can I get help setting up a route?

Use the Support section inside the app. The documentation also covers quick start, forwarding jobs, rules, scheduling and troubleshooting.

Responsible use: Only configure forwarding for content you are allowed to access and redistribute. Follow Telegram's applicable terms and rules, respect copyright and privacy, and avoid spam or unsolicited messages.
